1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This Code is developed to standardize the engineering design of information systems in oil refineries and petrochemical plants，and assure the information systems technically up-to-date，safe，reliable，cost effective，energy-effective and environmentally friendly.

1.0.2　This Code is applicable to the engineering design of grassroots，revamp and expansion of information systems in refineries and petrochemical plants.

1.0.3　Design of oil refineries and petrochemical plants information systems shall follow the principle that current construction size shall be consistent with long-term development planning.

1.0.4　In addition to this Code，engineering design of information systems in oil refineries and petrochemical plants shall also comply with the current relevant codes and standards.
